CV:
In line with best practice in recruitment, we strongly advise you do not include a photo or your date of birth, in order to create a more level playing field for all candidates.
Name and contact details of two referees who can comment on your suitability for this role:
Please note that we will only contact your referees if you are selected for interview.
Evaluation process:
Fabulous Feminists is committed to a redistributive process, recognising structural power imbalances in the field of gender expertise. We also acknowledge that unconscious bias forms a large part of the informal aspects of recruiting processes, in particular “affinity bias”. In addition, we are acutely aware of the importance of social class and generational wealth in access to these kinds of development opportunities.
In an attempt to address the power relations inherent in the field of gender expertise, preference will be given to equally qualified candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Candidates from or living in countries currently experiencing conflict or instability
- Candidates from or living in countries from the Global South, who may historically have less access to internships
- Candidates from socioeconomic backgrounds which would prevent them from taking up an unpaid internship, regardless of their country of origin or residence
- Candidates from historically or currently underrepresented communities within the field of gender expertise
Following the closing date, a shortlist will be drawn up. Based on this shortlist, three candidates will be invited to interview. The interviews will be conducted by a panel of gender specialists invited by the Founder, to ensure a broad range of perspectives.
Candidates who apply but do not meet the essential criteria will not receive a response. Those candidates who meet the essential criteria but were not shortlisted will be thanked and informed of the outcome of their application. They will be asked whether they would like Fabulous Feminists to keep their CV on file for future opportunities.
