IT Assistant: Technical Support at DP World · Nairobi County, Kenya (On-site)
Job Function
To support IT systems used within the business units and applying technical knowledge related to hardware and software to resolve IT requests. The role acts as the first line of technical support for IT hardware and software faults in collaboration with Group Technology for more complex queries.
Key Performance Areas:
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the business units.
- Providing end user support in person or via remote desktop software to staff and stakeholders.
- Configuration and maintenance of IT hardware & software to meet the business units’ expectations.
- Monitoring and maintenance of internet lines and network infrastructure.
- Training and guidance to end-users on adherence to IT policies.
- Staying updated with the latest technology trends and advancements to drive innovation
Qualifications Required:
- A tertiary Qualification in Business IT, Computer science or a related field.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in technical support.
- Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Proficiency in Windows applications, Office 365 tools and networking equipment
- You possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- You have good interpersonal and communication skills.
